Hyde Solutions Book marketing

Services

Six kinds of work, sold separately or bundled into a launch. Nothing here requires you to be on social media all day.

Launch campaigns

Twelve weeks, start to release month

A launch is a schedule, not a burst of activity in release week. We build the calendar backwards from your publication date, assign every task to a person, and run the whole runway with you.

  • Positioning brief: comparable titles, reader promise, category targets
  • Cover and description review before anything is locked
  • Week-by-week calendar with owners and deadlines
  • Release-week coordination across retailers, ads, and your reader team
  • A written post-launch report thirty days out

Retailer and metadata strategy

One-time rebuild, then quarterly review

Most books lose sales in the listing rather than the writing. We rebuild the parts of your retailer pages that decide whether a browsing reader ever sees the book at all.

  • Category and keyword research based on what readers search, not what sounds right
  • Book description rewritten to sell, formatted for each store
  • Series setup, back matter, and also-boughts
  • A+ content and author page
  • Pricing and distribution review across Amazon, Apple, Kobo, and library channels

Paid advertising

Monthly management

Advertising works for books with a clear reader and a finished listing. We start small, kill what loses money, and scale the handful of campaigns that earn it back.

  • Amazon Ads: sponsored products, brands, and category targeting
  • Meta campaigns for series and nonfiction with a defined audience
  • BookBub ads and featured deal submissions
  • Read-through and series revenue tracked, not just clicks
  • A monthly report in plain language, with what we are changing next

Ad spend is billed to your own accounts. You keep the data and the login.

Early readers and reviews

Starts eight weeks before release

A book with twenty honest reviews on release day converts better than one with none, and every promotion site has a review threshold. We build that base before the book goes on sale.

  • Advance copy distribution and tracking
  • NetGalley and review site placement where it suits the category
  • Reader team recruitment, briefing, and follow-up
  • Blogger and bookstagram outreach
  • Editorial review submissions for eligible titles

Author platform

Ongoing, or set up once and handed over

The list you own is worth more than any algorithm. We set up the pieces that keep readers reachable between books, and keep the upkeep to about an hour a week.

  • Newsletter setup, welcome sequence, and reader magnet
  • Author website build or refresh
  • A social plan limited to the one or two places your readers actually are
  • Content calendar you can run yourself
  • Training so you are not dependent on us

Publicity and media

Per campaign

Publicity suits books with a hook: an argument, an expertise, a story behind the story. If your book does not have one yet, we will say so rather than sell you a pitch campaign.

  • Press materials and a pitch angle worth an editor's time
  • Podcast booking in your subject area
  • Local and regional press
  • Festival, conference, and library event submissions
  • Interview prep before you go on

Ways to work together

Pick the shape that fits where the book is. We will recommend one on our first call, including the cheapest option that would actually help.

Single project

One piece of work with a defined end: a metadata rebuild, a website, a review campaign. Good for a book already out that needs one thing fixed.

Fixed project fee

Launch campaign

The full twelve-week runway with everything coordinated. Best started three to four months before your release date.

Fixed campaign fee

Ongoing retainer

Monthly ad management, platform upkeep, and a standing call. For authors with a backlist or a book a year.

Monthly, three-month minimum
